General Code Assessment (GCA)
Complete the Official GCA Test
As part of this sprint challenge, you are required to attempt the official General Code Assessment (GCA) test. This standardized assessment evaluates your coding skills and provides a score that reflects your programming proficiency.
For this sprint, you must attempt the GCA test. While there is no specific score requirement to pass the sprint, you should aim to achieve a score of 295 or higher. This target score will become a requirement later in the program.
Taking the GCA:
- Create a CodeSignal account using the same email address you use to login to the BloomTech portal
- Take the official GCA at the link below
- Record your score in the assignment submission
Important Information:
- The GCA consists of 4 programming tasks to complete in 70 minutes
- Only your highest score is tracked in the BloomTech database
- You can achieve a score of 295 by getting 100% on tests and passing any task (Task #1 is generally the easiest)
Grading Rubric
Your Sprint Challenge grade is based on the following criteria:
- Resume Submission (33%): Successfully submitting a professionally formatted resume
- LeetCode Problems (33%): Completing at least 3 of the required LeetCode problems
- GCA Attempt (34%): Taking the CodeSignal GCA test and submitting your score
Note: While achieving a specific GCA score is not required for this sprint, attempting the GCA test is mandatory. Your highest GCA score will be tracked for future requirements, where a score of 295 or higher may be needed.
