Your career artifacts are critical tools in your job search journey. They showcase your technical skills, professional identity, and unique value proposition to potential employers. Quality career artifacts significantly increase your chances of landing interviews and securing job offers.

Required Career Artifacts

The following artifacts must be submitted for this unit:

Technical Resume

A professional resume highlighting your technical skills, projects, and relevant experience.

LinkedIn Profile

An optimized LinkedIn profile that attracts recruiters and showcases your expertise.

GitHub Portfolio

A curated GitHub profile featuring your best projects and technical contributions.

Submission Process - Step by Step

Prepare Your Artifacts

Ensure all your career artifacts are complete and polished according to the guidelines provided in the core competency materials.

Pre-Submission Checklist
  • Resume follows the provided template and includes all required sections
  • LinkedIn profile is complete with professional photo, about section, and experience details
  • GitHub profile includes a professional README and at least 3 pinned repositories
  • All documents are free of spelling and grammatical errors
  • Technical skills are clearly highlighted across all artifacts

Submit Your Resume

Upload your technical resume to the submission portal in PDF format.

  1. Export your resume as a PDF file
  2. Name the file using this format: Lastname_Firstname_Resume.pdf
  3. Go to the Submission Portal
  4. Select "Resume Submission" from the dropdown menu
  5. Upload your PDF file and submit

Submit LinkedIn URL

Provide the direct URL to your LinkedIn profile.

  1. Visit your LinkedIn profile and copy the URL from your browser
  2. Go to the Submission Portal
  3. Select "LinkedIn Submission" from the dropdown menu
  4. Paste your LinkedIn URL in the provided field
  5. Ensure your profile is set to public before submitting

Important: Make sure your LinkedIn profile is public and accessible. To check, open your profile URL in an incognito/private browser window to ensure it displays correctly to people who aren't logged in.

Submit GitHub URL

Provide the direct URL to your GitHub profile.

  1. Visit your GitHub profile and copy the URL from your browser
  2. Go to the Submission Portal
  3. Select "GitHub Submission" from the dropdown menu
  4. Paste your GitHub URL in the provided field

Confirmation and Feedback

After submission, you will receive confirmation and eventual feedback.

  • You will receive an email confirmation once all artifacts are successfully submitted
  • Feedback will be provided within 1-2 weeks after submission
  • You may be asked to make revisions based on the feedback
